Knights of Columbus Council 12313
Scottsdale, Arizona

Our Purpose
Vision and Values
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic men with Principles of the Order being Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism within the Catholic Church, Community and its membership.
It was founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, the curate of St. Mary’s Parish in New Haven, Connecticut. He named them Knights of Columbus—Knights to emphasize chivalry’s ideals of charity and support for the Church and state, and Columbus as a reminder that Catholics had been the backbone and bulwark of America’s growth and greatness from the very beginning.
Our Story
Our Lady of Clairvaux Council 12313 of the Knights of Columbus at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish was granted a charter on October 7, 1998.
Numerous fund-raising events are planned throughout the year. These include Pancake Breakfast, Golf Tournament, Tootsie Roll Drive and others.
The proceeds from these events are used to support local charities such as St. Vincent De Paul, Maggie's Place, Andre House, Mana House, and the Gary Sinese Foundation. We provide financial support to Diocesan seminarians, St. Joseph Youth Camp, St Bernard’s Youth Program, and St. Peter’s Mission.
In addition, the Knights of Columbus perform community service activities including Street Clean up and Turkey Tuesday in association with the St. Vincent DePaul Society before Thanksgiving. The Fourth Degree Color Guard is present for special Church functions and particularly when the Bishop is present.
